Sony has unveiled a new standard in memory stick for portable devices. The Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX brings faster data transfer speeds and higher capacities.

The stick has a transfer speed of 20MB/s read and 15MB/s write and comes in a choice of 4 GB or GB. The faster speeds are achieved by the supplied USB adaptor. Sony also offers a downloadable Memory Stick Data Rescue Service which can quickly recover deleted photographs and files.

The Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX offers 10 year warranty and will start selling this month, October 2008.
