Intel set to launch Six Core Dunnington CPU

Intel is all set to go Six Cores on its server line Xeon processors on 15 September 2008. Codenamed 'Dunnington', it is the last processor of the Penryn generation.
The latest 7400 series Xeons are based on 45nm of production and includes shared 16 MB L3 cache and three 3 MB L2 cache. These processors are expected to support DDR2-1066 and will have a maximum power consumption (TDP) below 130 Watts.
One of the fastest Xeon - X7460 will cost around US $2650.
