Acer has introduced a new netbook in its Aspire One series which is equipped with a Solid-state drive or SSD along with Windows XP.

The A110X comprises a SSD with a capacity of 16 GigaBytes. It is powered by Intel's Atom processor and includes a memory of 1 GigaByte. It comes with a 6-cell battery pack which boosts the battery life but adds an extra load to the netbook, weighing in at about 1.2 Kilograms.

Acer Aspire one is a huge competitor to Asus eee pc and Dell Inspiron mini in the netbook segment. But at a US price of around $540 the A110X seems to be priced on the heavier side.

Acer Aspire One A110X Specifications:

RAM: 1 GB DDR2 533 MHz
HDD: 16 GB SSD
